Hey everyone!  I'm back, I got into the manchester airport at about 12:30 last night after 22 hours of travel and airports.  I have decided that I really hate airports...a lot.  They're dumb, and waiting in them is like watching water boil.  I lost my cell phone in Charlotte, North Carolina and to get into the lost and found, one has to go out of security and back in again.  I didn't have time for that, since my return flight was boarding in ten minutes, so I'm just going to have to buy another one.  Oh joy!
I had a really good time in Guyana, the clinic we set up saw over 1,200 people in 5 days, and there were over two hundred children that came just to play each day, which isn't included in the count of people we saw.  I saw a man who had elephantitis, it was pretty sick.  Guyanese people are funny, because they always describe whatever they have as a cold, which is the term for them that ranges from a cough, runny nose, fever, stomach ache, headache, pain in the sides, watery eyes, allergies, asthma, and various other aches and pains in the body.  It is certainly much different there than it is in America, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.  Also in Guyana they are very concerned with simple courtesy, so to everyone you meet you have to greet and ask how they are, with a smile.  Their evening greeting is a little different than ours, instead of saying good evening, they say good night, which to me makes me feel like I'm saying I'm going to bed, but by the time I was done with the week and on my flight out of Miami yesterday I said good night to an airport attendant without noticing until he looked at me a little funny and then I corrected myself.  It was rather humorous because I was so accustomed already to the lifestyle in Guyana that I kept greeting people the same way I would in Guyana.  I could write pages and pages on my trip, but I don't think anyone wants to read that :) but, feel free to ask me questions, I'd be glad to answer them.

I'm done with all my exams now!  woohoo!  I just took math and Spanish 3 today and neither of them seemed very difficult, so as long as I didn't do something completely stupid I should be a-ok.  I actually didn't think any of my exams were very hard this year, not that I like sitting in a smelly gym for very long, but i didn't really mind the exams.  They still suck though...
This is the last lj post I can make for awhile, since I'm leaving this evening for a little over a week.  I'll be going to South America to do some clinic work.  I'm so excited about it, but I'll be sad to miss out on all the posts and stuff.  Side note: my yearbook is in my locker still, so if you haven't gotten to sign it yet, please take it out and do so.  Just make sure my yearbook is returned to my locker before Ali leaves on Wednesday so that I can get my yearbook back.  Back to the original topic: I'm so excited! I went last year, so I know what to expect. I"m still gloating a little though, because now I'm completely done with school and you guys aren't.
I hate that I got three good ideas for stories though and I'm leaving, so I can't type them up! The world is so unfair! I'm just going to have to write them on the plane. sigh...at least I'll have something to do.

Chemistry sucks, it really just needs to die.  Why the hell are there so many types of numbers.  Apparently chemists are too stupid to understand that Ka, Kb, Ksp, Kw, and Keq problems all work in a similar  way.  Somebody answer me!  Why are chemists so freaking stupid? And the Honors designation crap is a joke, it just extra busy work that sucks.  Ok that's it for my bitchy rant on Chem.
Next topic...Yeah so, I'm too lazy to actually try and figure out whose ljs are whose so, if you are reading this, maybe you could just tell me whose account is whose, so I can friend them.  Maybe? Please? Stop making me beg already, I hate begging!  Ok finished with my "slight" mental breakdown.  But seriously, can someone just tell me, I get so confused when I try to figure it out.
I had a third thing, I'm sure I did.  I just can't remember right now. :) Oh well maybe I'll remember later and tell you all.

        I'm getting so nervous for final exams.  They are just around the corner, but I'll be excited to get done with them, because after that it'll be vacation.  I can't wait for vacation, it's definitely my favorite part of the year.  It will finally be warm!
       I have such a cool story idea that a friend of mine suggested.  I expanded the idea a little bit, I won't say anything about the idea...yet, but I'm excited to write it.  Hopefully I'll get to start it soon.   Anyway, I don't really have anything else to say.  I didn't really write much either...oh well.

So very sick.  I'm going to have a hell of a time catching up in my school work.  I was out Monday, left school early Tuesday and I'm still sick.  I don't think I'm even going to make it in tomorrow.  I'm dying! (Not really it's just agonizing, I hate being stuck in bed.)  I'm not coherent enough to write anymore, so talk to you all later.

    Earlier this week I got a phone call from my brother's grandmother (my older brother is really a half brother, same mom different dad).  She is sending me $300 for my medical trip this summer.  That was just about all I needed to get to have the total amount I need.  I'm so excited to go, it's going to be a lot of fun.  I'm going to miss a few of my exams, so I have to contact my teachers about that tonight.  I can't really think of anything else exciting that happened this week.
    Although I feel really annoyed at my younger brother, Logan, right now he keeps trying to purposely annoy me and unfortunately, he is currently the only person besides my mother who can seriously get under my skin.  My Mother is also annoying me right now because, she keeps telling me that what he's doing shouldn't annoy me.  Sadly, everything he does annoys me, so there is no escape.

    Ok,so this summer I'm going to South America, for a medical mission trip.  I did this last year and I had a good time, although it was really sad to see people without proper health care that desperately need it.  There were people who couldn't see very well.  Some just needed glasses but, some were going blind or getting cataracts.  There was one man who came in that couldn't, even see past the first giant E on the top of the eye chart.  There was little we could do, and I have never felt so helpless. I could help many people with little issues but, when it came to something that mattered, like the man's vision, I could do nothing but, try more pairs of glasses.  Hoping that one of the stronger pairs would work.  Sadly, I was unable to help him see more than just past third line (which isn't close to 20/20 vision).  He was going blind and I suspect that by now he is blind.  It's sad, because I was pretty sure that he was only about 55, which for American standards isn't really all that old.  My grandparents are way older than that.  Of course there were tons of people that we did help, we saw well over 1000 people and it was probably closer to about 2,000 people in the week we were there.  Unfortunately it isn't all the people that I was able to help that plant themselves in my memory, but the ones I couldn't.
    Wow, I really went off on a completely different and depressing tangent than what I meant to talk about.  I actually wanted to say that I almost have all my funds for my trip in.  I had to raise $1800, and I have $1445 so, I only need to raise $355 now.  I'm getting excited because the trip is getting closer.  I will have to take some of my exams early though, because I will be leaving before school ends.   Perhaps, I'll post a few pictures when I come back.  The money is due soon so, I'm getting a little anxious that I won't make the last bit that I need too.  That's all for now!
